Carly L.

Hi! My name is Carly, and I am currently in the last year of my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University! I have been tutoring various levels of math and science classes for the past twelve years.

I’ve tutored 5th grade math all the way through college level Calculus IV.

My favorite part of tutoring is meeting all my students exactly where they are and helping them grow to where they want to be!

In my free time, I love to be active and get outdoors. Over the past two years, I have been trying to teach myself to surf and wakeboard. I also enjoy taking my three-year-old dog Olive on long walks and hikes, then coming home to relax and watch a baseball or basketball game. I am not much of a cook, but I do love going out to eat and trying different foods and oftentimes will plan my whole vacations around the best places to eat!

Ellie N.

Hi! My name is Ellie, and I attend Emory University.

I am currently a Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology major, although my interests vary across the sciences. I am passionate about understanding the intersection between neuroscience and fields such as environmental science, politics, and economics.

I enjoy tutoring students to not only help them understand something they are struggling with, but also to further my knowledge on the topic as teaching is also learning.

I tutor math, with a specialization in middle-school math, chemistry, and biology.

In my free time, I enjoy running, listening to music, playing tennis, and spending time with friends and family.
